“Private facilities for the teachers/parents and when the mountain is closed you know the kids won’t get cabin fever!”
Good snow often means bad weather. It’s inevitable. But the great thing about Snowy Waters is that there are plenty of onsite activities to keep the crew, young or old, entertained. And our central location means we’re not far from many other great attractions such as:
- The Bridge to Nowhere
- Whanganui River
- Tongariro Alpine Crossing
- National Army Museum
- Mokai Gravity Canyon
- Horse trekking
- Lord of the Rings film locations
- Indoor rock climbing wall
- Mountain bike tracks
Some of our regular guests are netball and rugby teams, school ski/snowboard teams, tramping, music and dance clubs, geology classes and film study groups. Snowy Waters Lodge can offer exclusive hire to groups of up to 40 people so you don’t have to worry about sharing with anyone you don’t know. There are 10 double, twin, triple and quad rooms in the Lodge plus another four bedrooms in the adjoining self-contained Villa.
You can self-cater or let us provide breakfast, lunch and dinner to suit your budget.
