Details: Dust off your bikini's girls, this is possibly the only time you'll be seen in one on the snow! Held at Turoa.
Event: Peak to Keg Race

Details: Compete as an individual or team. Ski or board down Turoa, run the mountain road and bike to the Powderhorn, finishing with a mandatory beer skull!
Event: Export Pond Skim
Date: 16th October 2010
Details: Also held at Turoa, ski downhill and skim across a purpose built pond full of freezing cold water. Prizes for best costumes.
Summer 2010/2011
Event: The Raetihi Ripper

Details: Secure off-street carparking, complimentary shuttle to drop you off and pick you up after the party. Individual rates are $30 per person per night.
Event: The Goat Alpine Adventure Run

Details: The Goat is an exhilarating adventure run from Whakapapa to Turoa ski fields on the Round the Mountain Track. Get training as the distance covered is 21 kilometres.
Event: Raetihi Christmas Carnival
Date: Saturday 11th December 2010
Details: Last year saw 23 floats particpate and 43 food, coffee, arts and crafts stalls lining the main street of Raetihi. This is a great, traditional family day out followed by Christmas Carols in the Park.

Details: Competitors and spectators travel from all over New Zealand to participate in sheep shearing, woodchopping, equestrian plus many more events. Trade, food, craft and other entertainment feature.
Event: Waimarino Rodeo
Date: 19th & 20th March 2011
Details: Watch the country's top cowboys and girls compete in bronco riding, barrel racing and steer wrestling at the last event of the rodeo circuit season. Raetihi is home to New Zealand's oldest continually running rodeo
