Riverboat Adventurer (Pipiriki)

100 years ago a fleet of specially designed vessels were the lifeline of the unique and picturesque Whanganui River. The spectacular and often hair raising journey lives again with the Adventurer II. Brave long twisting rapids on this flat-bottomed workhorse of yesteryear. 30 minutes from Snowy Waters Lodge.

Garden Tours (Raetihi)

The epitome of a small town New Zealand garden tour. Local Raetihi residents allow you into their home to view their delightful gardens. The 2.5 hour tour takes in three separate, privately owned properties with a stop at Angel Louise Café for morning or afternoon tea.

Trout Fishing (Ruatiti)

The Manganui-o-te-ao is a well known spot for trout fishing. Enter near the Ruatiti Domain where it is also possible to view the rare New Zealand blue duck (whio). Guided trips also available. 30 minutes from Snowy Waters Lodge.
